Wigan Warriors v Leigh Leopards

It’s a Battle of the Borough in Semi Final 1 this Friday...and it doesn't get much bigger than this!

The Warriors have won eight of their previous nine Super League home games against the Leopards, with the only exception being a dramatic 0-1 defeat at The Brick Community Stadium back in Round 1. This was the only time they’ve ever been held scoreless over the last three campaigns.

They've been victorious in the two other fixtures against their rivals this year, though.

Did you know that Wigan have won each of their last four Super League Play-Off games, and a staggering eight of their last nine home semi-finals in the competition? They will look to bring this big game experience on Friday Night.

Meanwhile, the Leopards will participate in just their second Super League semi-final after last year, when they lost heavily to Wigan (38-0). Hunting down a first ever Grand Final appearance, Adrian Lam’s men will no doubt be fired up as they enter Friday’s semi-final on a six-game winning streak.

Likewise, the current champions are in fine form and dominated their final five games in the Super League.

They won’t want to let go of their title lightly either.

Predictor weightings are split, and it'll be all about who turns up on the night...

Weighted predictions: Warriors (5 points), Leopards (5 points)

Hull KR v St Helens

Over in Semi-Final 2, Hull KR entertain St Helens.

The Robins have won each of their last five Super League games against Paul Wellens’ side, but can they perform when it matters the most?

Willie Peters’ men lifted the League Leaders' Shield for the very first time this season, and interestingly, the league leaders have gone on to win the Grand Final in each of the last three campaigns, since Catalans failed to do so in 2021.

This will be Hull KR’s fourth semi-final appearance in the Super League Play-Offs, and they are hungry for back-to-back Grand Final appearances.

Is the treble on?

On the other hand, Saints are searching for their first Grand Final appearance since 2022.

St Helens lost their most recent Super League semi-final (6-12 v Catalans Dragons in 2023) after winning four in a row previously but have lost each of their last five semi-final fixtures away from home. This dates back to 2001!

Can they break this cycle on Saturday?

It's going to be a tough challenge considering Willie Peters' men have won 11 of their 13 home games this year, but after last week's sensational finish in the Eliminators, Never EVER write off the Saints.

The Robins are favourites ever so slightly in the Predictor weightings...

Weighted predictions: Robins (4 points), Saints (6 points)
